LWF Uganda is a country program of the LWF Department for World Service

The Department for World Service is the internationally recognized humanitarian and development arm of The Lutheran World Federation (LWF), a global communion of 144 member churches in 79 countries.

The LWF has more than 65 years’ experience responding to human need throughout the world.

We are a founding member of ACT Alliance.

We are certified under the 2010 HAP Standard in Accountability and Quality Management and are a signatory to the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief.
