Reports of the Working Group on the Universal Periodic Review

In 2016, Uganda went through the second cycle of Universal Periodic Review (UPR). In regards to recommendations received from peer states, Uganda undertook to improve service delivery, particularly health and education to refugees in settlements in Uganda. This is in line with the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework (CRRF). In the sphere of gender based violence (GBV), the Government of Uganda committed to zero tolerance.

Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is an international mechanism aimed at improving human rights' records of states through a process of peer review. These Working Group reports provide a record of what transpired during the review process.
